This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use and distribute information about our users through the Website and Services regardless of how you access or use these Services, including access via mobile devices and apps.

Personal Information We Collect 

We aim to collect, use and disclose only such information as is required to enable us to manage your account, to provide the Services, to maintain our customer/visitor lists, to respond to your inquiries or provide feedback, for identification and authentication purposes and for service improvement.  We will maintain the confidentiality of any contact information you provide to us on signing up for our Services or contacting us with questions or for further information and we will use it only for the purposes for which we have collected it (subject to the exclusions and disclosures we have listed below), unless you agree that we may disclose it to other third parties. As part of the service you are agreeing and consent to posing your personal name or business name and website or weblink and additional information about you or your business. 
 

When you use our Services, we collect some personal information from you including, your third party platform user name when you sign in through a third party service provider, your name, and any information you offer to provide, as well as information when the Service fails. We collect this information as follows:
 

  • Joining the Project In Kind Platform:  In order to use this Service, you must provide certain Personal Information to us such as your full name, company name, address, email address and billing information.  We use this information to enroll you in the Service, verify the information you have provided, provide you with the Services, for billing purposes and as otherwise disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
     

  • Account Profile:  Your profile information including your full name, company name, job description, address, biographical information and any photos you upload will be publicly available and may also be shared by us through social media and other channels. 
     

  • Transactional Notifications: We provide notifications for certain activities relating to your use of our Services despite your indicated e-mail preferences, for example we may send you notices of any updates to our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
     

  • Marketing Communications:  If you opt-in to receive marketing communications from us, we will keep you up to date on our products and services.  You may withdraw your consent to receiving marketing communications from us at any time by following the opt-out instructions in each communication.
     

  • Statistics: We also collect statistics about use of the Services which we use for analytics including predictive analytics.  Aggregate statistics that do not personally identify an individual will be kept by us and such aggregate statistics may be made available to other members or third parties. 
     

  • System Logs & Cookies: Cookies are used by us to track content usage and traffic on the Services.  A cookie is a feature of your web browser that consists of a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web server.  The Service uses cookies to help it compile aggregate statistics about usage of this Service, such as how many users visit the Website, how long users spend viewing the Service, and what pages are viewed most often.  This information is used to improve the content of the Service.  You can set your browser to notify you when you are sent a cookie.  This gives you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it.  If you disable cookies, you may not be able to take advantage of all the features of the Services.  Your IP address is reported by your web browser whenever you visit a page on the Service.  This information is recorded together with your registration information on our databases.

Accordingly, advertisement servers may compile information about where or whether you viewed their advertisements and which advertisements you clicked on.   • When You Use The Service Message Feature: You may choose to reveal personal information in the messaging feature or other public functions, to the extent it contains personal information we cannot control how other users will use personal information that you reveal using the messaging feature or other public functions, so, if you reveal personal information through the messaging feature or other public functions, you are doing so at your own risk. Further, disclosure of phone numbers, addresses, age or other personally identifying information that may violate someone else's privacy is prohibited. Encouraging or asking users to disclose publicly their personally identifying information is also prohibited.
     

  • Email and Newsletter Lists. If you subscribe to our email list, or complete any other forms or subscriptions, you may be required to provide personal information, such as your first name, last name, email addresses, language, country location or discord user name. 

We will not request any sensitive personal information such as your health information, race, religion, or sexual orientation. Please do not send us such sensitive personal information by any means.

We may use your personal information and other information for the following purposes. In addition in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”)  we identify the relevant grounds that we rely on to use your personal information:

We will not actively collect Personal Information for the purpose of sale or marketing in a way that specifically identifies the individual.  In other words, we don’t sell customer lists.

Subject to the applicable laws that apply in different countries, your consent may be express or implied, depending on the circumstances and the sensitivity of the personal information in question. All retained personal information will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.  If you request that your name be removed from our databases, it may not be possible to completely delete all your Personal Information due to technological and legal constraints.

We will endeavour to respond to your opt-out request promptly, but we ask that you please allow us a reasonable time to process your request. As at the date of this Privacy Policy, we may share Personal Information about you in respect of the Services only with our service providers and partners which include website hosting, cloud service providers, analytics providers, email marketing providers and payment processors.  Our service providers are located in Canada and the United States and accordingly your Personal Information may be available to Canadian and United States governments under a lawful order, irrespective of the safeguards we have put in place for the protection of your Personal Information.
 

From time to time we may employ third parties to help us improve the Website and/or the Services. These third parties may have limited access to databases of user information solely for the purpose of helping us to improve the Website and/or the Services and they will be subject to contractual restrictions prohibiting them from using the information about our members for any other purpose.

Third-Party Links: The Website may contain links to other third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by us.  Such third-party websites are governed by the terms and conditions and privacy policies of such third-party providers and we are not involved in any interaction or transaction between you and such third-parties.
 

Children’s Information
 

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, you should not provide us with your personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under the age of 16 has provided personal information, then you may alert us as set forth in the “Contact Us” section below and request that we delete that child’s personal information from our systems. We ask that all parents take the necessary precautions to ensure that their children are instructed to never give out personal information when online. 
 

Privacy Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy is current as of the “updated” date which appears at the top of this page. We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made to this Privacy Policy they will become immediately effective when published in a revised Privacy Policy unless otherwise noted. We may communicate the changes through our Services or by other means.
